Man I wish I didn't use Facebook so much! Slash at all! Tiz the DEVEEL! I keep putting loads of Dylan inspired stuff on my page/wall (bookface talk) and I fear it may be too much. It seems as if Google is the new devil these days. People no longer blame conglomerates of the real world (such as Coke) for all of it's evils, but instead hand it over to the conglomerates of cyberspace. Anyway I'm not going to try and get anymore sociological than that last sentence because actually the reason for this post is way trivial. Waay.
The idea is about using this wonderful new-found scapegoat for use of slang. To replace the average swearword (fuck, bastard, skankwhore etc.) with Google.

WATCHMEN

Alan Moore. A guy who likes his comic books, comic books. And that's understandable as so far the pieces that have been translated to screen haven't exactly made his contributed-to-life-achievements list (The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, From Hell, V for Vendetta- which is apparently the more respected adaptation to date). Did that sentence make any sense to you? A little i hope, at least. Anydooser, we all know that his most famous work, Watchmen, is being made into a film that'll be coming out on March 6. But what is less known is that it was close to being made by Terry Gilliam from a script written by a man called Sam Hamm. Ahh if only.. But that's okay, we'll see how Snyder goes before we judge. I was a-dawdling threw cyberspace and came across this online independent comic series. It took a wee while for me to really like it but I consider that a good thing. All i can say in naww.. Very honest, personal and quaint comic biography/diary of an intriguing boy. The thing I enjoyed about it most were the little everyday moments that I completely empathized with ie. I love VAngelis, too [read it. you will understand.]

film: Immortel [Ad Vitam]

Whadda film. Made by crazy french comic book artist/writer, Enki Bilal, this true cyberpunk feature length is both interesting in plot and look. It's great even for those who have really short attention spans or those who are pretty unimpressed with contemporary cinema. A thoroughly recommended watch.

So aparently they are making (or should i say thinking of making as the director is not yet fully secured to the job) a Preacher film. The director stepping forward so far is that brill guy called Sam Mendez. I'm a fan of Sammy boy especially after I watched the gloriously educational commentary for his hit American Beauty which is so glorious because he gives you great stuff to go on film-wise which isn't always evident in other commentaries (although the funny silly ones can be good). So yeah Preacher film coming up. I'm not sure if Mendez is actually the right guy for the job even though he's such a genius man. ee i just don't think he'd capture the bad-assery and dirtiness and especially the black, sick, bloody humour that Ennis throws at you. But it'd still be interesting to see and probably will be much better than other contemporary comic-to-film interpretations that are oh so popular these days. so go sammy boy go

This lad is strutting around, fag in one hand jewellery al over the over, outside McDonalds acting as if he is 8 foot tall and built like a rugby player, when some poor unsuspecting adult (about 17/18) walks round the corner wanting to go to mcdonalds for his dinner glances at the young lad, the young lad jumps up in complete disgust and says “Whats your problem? Wanna make sommin of it? Bling Bling” when the adult starts to walk towards the young lad, the young lad pisses himself and runs off to either his pregnant 14-year-old girlfriend or his brother in the army crying his eyes out. My mate has become a chav what can i do? answer is shoot him before it is too late

Lou Reed is pretty darn cool.
I say darn because it just such an under-used word in these days of creative profanity (what the shit etc). Back to Lou.
I know it's been said before but that's okay because this guy was seriously great. An intellectual art student who changed what music was and is now (at least to those who as of yet have not sold their souls to z dollar, z fame or z germans).
Iggy Pop I think said it best, that Lou Reed was the main reason he picked up a mic because he was inspired by the fact that Reed "couldn't sing". Wow. I dig that.
